About

Hi! I’m Kristen, wife to Jared, and mother to three little kids. I post more regularly on Facebook, so friend me!

This blog began (and continues) at the urging of my husband who reminds me regularly “Do you know HOW MANY PEOPLE VISIT YOUR BLOG EVERY MONTH??!! Keep posting – people are interested!” So, here we go! I’m very thankful (and a bit surprised) there are as many of you reading as he tells me.

For the next for foreseeable future I am going to be writing about my journey of healing. 2+ years ago I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease (among MILLIONS of other women). At first I was sure it would go away on its own (a little ostrich like on my part??), now several years into it I realize that almost any health condition can be healed, or at the very least improved, by lifestyle and dietary changes. I am intent on researching, and reversing this preventable auto-immune reaction I currently have. By the way, did you know MOST cases of hypothyroidism are actually caused by an autoimmune disease? I surely didn’t….. but before I get sidetracked by interesting info – I better go on to tell you that I am working with a genius clinical nutritionist AND a semi-local nurse practitioner who gives me good advice and regularly checks my blood work. I needed both. desperately. As I could NOT have figured out all the aspects of healing on my own. I am still on the road, but thought it important for me to journal what has helped me…. in order to help you (that is a BIG invitation to communicate with me about your own learnings and healings).

By the way, this blog began as a desire for my husband and I to share videos with you (as he is a mega award winning video producer), but the need to work on other projects (kids, life, money) continues to get in the way. I used to podcast quite a bit (again, at the video man’s urging), but don’t even know where those are anymore :-)

Keep telling me what you want, and ask me questions – I love it!
